This painting extends the artist’s engagement with colour field abstraction while introducing a more articulated internal structure. Distinct horizontal zones are set into measured relation, producing a restrained compositional tension. Although the geometry becomes more legible, the persistence of visible touch and tonal variation prevents a shift into hard-edge abstraction, instead positioning the work within a transitional space between colour field painting and minimal, post-painterly concerns.
